Whats In My Makeup Bag?

I am the sort of person that likes a little nose around. WIMH has to be one of my all time favourite websites, these are the emails that I actually open and read. YouTube videos of makeup collections and handbag updates can keep me controlled for hours on end. So I thought why not show you all what I've got in my daily stash. Just to let you know that this does change quite a lot, I always forget that I have products and like to slip them in so that I get some use out of them. Plus it's a great way to rekindle the love with forgotten favourites!

Paul & Joe Floral Filofax Makeup Bag.
I spent months looking for this beaut, no exaggeration. I was close to giving up hope when Selfridges notified me of it's recent stock. And there I was the next day to pick it up. Removable compartments make this perfect to take when your on the go, and keep products organised. On the back panel it also has brush compartments which is super handy. Now all I need is a holiday to test this baby out! One thing I do in particular is organise my makeup in the order that I use it. Base, blush and concealer in the front pocket, highlighter and eye shadow in one compartment, setting powders in the other and finally mascaras, lip glosses and extra brushes. Mornings spent faffing around are a thing of the past!

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation.
Light weight, easily blend-able and travel friendly. What more could you ask for? Actually, a longer lasting formula would be great, but of course something so light weight can't have much of a life expectancy. This is definitely my half day option. Full review...

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. (Don't let the name fool you, it's a foundation.)
This has everything that the latter does not. A gel like texture with the staying power of matte. This is my everyday go to base with the glow to brighten up any day!

Bobbi Brown Corrector.
Dark bags are a thing of the past, warm this up between the fingers and blend out to hide the night before. I use this every morning without fail. It's partner in crime is the world renowned...

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Duo.
I have used this little gem to cover up everything from spots, to freckles and even bruises! It has an incredibly creamy texture that requires a translucent setting powder to keep it in tact all day. Beware of the heat, during the summer this can melt right off your face, so remember to set!

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush.
This is highly pigmented stuff, just a small amount could cover your bedroom walls. Blend into the cheek with your finger and you've just achieved naturally flustered rosey cheeks.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle.
This has been my go to highlighter for years and I will never stop loving it. As seen here, and here.
The most gorgeous gold shimmer that suits almost every look.

Estee Lauder Invisible Makeup Powder.
An illuminating powder that brightens your complexion without mattefying it. The pale girls version of CHANEL Les Beiges. Full review...

Mac Eyeshadow Quad.
My baby, the four colours that can cover the majority of my moods. And the perfect winter staple. Cranberry, Nylon, Idol Eyes and Knight Divine. From subtle sheen to dramatic smoke these shades can combine to create so many looks. If you take anything from this post hopefully it will be the love for one of these extraordinary shades. See them in action...

L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara.
Without saying too much, I am using the last of this before of course I have to find a substitute. I am still very sensitive about the subject, Unavoidable Discontinuation. I will however say this, I am currently loosing the best mascara I have ever used, and if this is in your local boots store I suggest you stock up.

Clinique Mascara and Lipgloss Duo.
A handy partnership is one that you can throw in your bag. This is that product. I mostly use this when I'm on the drag and maybe need to touch up quickly when I've got to uni, or on the tube. We've all been there and this has my back whatever the situation.

What do you currently have in your makeup bag? What do you think of the products I've mentioned?
