Daily Makeup bag.

Deciding what to use as part of my makeup routine is the furthest thing from a struggle. Everything is kept organised and rotated regularly. Whenever I purchase something new it goes straight into the bag, and when things get a bit too cluttered the least favourites come out. I find that it's a good system for moving things around. I do however need to work on bringing things out of the draws every now and again.

My base consists of three products. The Bourjois Happy Light Foundation, the Dior BB Eye Cream and the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. A light and minimal foundation is a great starting point to then use other products the way they are intended. I don't like using heavy products under my eyes at the moment so using a BB eye cream hides dark circles and keeps them fresh throughout the day. The heavy stuff is essential for covering up the sins of things I shouldn't have eaten the day before. My Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer can cover pretty much anything and stay for an appropriate amount of time if set properly.

The cheeks Ive been keeping plain as my minimal base let's enough of my natural cheek colour come through. So straight in with the highlighter I go. Just a swift dusting of Dior's Amber Diamond and my face looks defined and healthy. The boy spent ages trying to find this for me and after finding it in the back of a drawer I thought I would start to get my use out of it. Who says that something to pretty can only be used for special occasions?

My eyes are the last thing that I do and they get simpler by the day. I've passed on the eye shadow, mainly for work. Zara aren't too keen on anything too heavy, which is understandable. So I opt for simple eye liner and full lashes. My usual L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof has croaked and the Maybelline Falsies has tried to fill the gap in my heart. So far so good but I don't think that this will be a permanent love affair. The Maybelline Gel Eye Liner is the easiest product I've used, as I mentioned in my October Favourites I've dabbled in pencils, liquid and felt tip liners which always ended in me giving up. But not with this little gem! To give my eyes the extra definition they need I have swapped my usual brush through brows for the Maybelline Brow Drama. A slightly darker shade with the shape you need, no need to fear the scouse brows.

And last but not least the lips, of course I keep them moisturised with Blistex Relief Cream during the day and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream before bed. And to keep them soft I always opt for a hydrating lipstick. The Dior Addict formula is one of my favourites and one that I have bought on multiple occasions. I always have a lipstick from that range in my bag and top up whenever I need to. This may not be an everyday staple but sometimes it's nice to have the option. Most of my shades are natural pinks with shimmer so sometimes I even swap and change throughout the day depending on my mood at the time. (Rare adventurous moods.)

I actually really like talking about my daily makeup. Especially when I am genuinely enjoying everything. I think when I next have a reshuffle I'm going to use more daring colours, and maybe even some different cheek colours. I'll keep you posted.

What's in your makeup bag at the moment? How often do you switch up what's in your makeup bag?
