Currently Loving | January Favourites!

With the new year upon us, new realises scheduled, resolutions in play, these are the products that have kept me a float.  After all this is supposed to be the unhappiest part of the year, pay day was disappointing (damn you tax man!) and the struggle to get out of bed hasn't been this intense for  what seems like years. Keeping a smile on your face couldn't be as easy, celebrating what your thankful for, what you have to look forward to and of course your favourite beauty products!

I used to be a complete book worm, nothing but words before bed, of course now twitter has filled that space. It's taken a while to get back into it, but I find that leaving a few books on my bedside table as well as in my handbag has really helped my to get into the swing of things. I should thank my mother for this, one of my favourite Christmas presents. The Diary of a Nose is a french bestseller, the story behind the creation of perfume from Jean-Claude Ellena, the head perfumer at Hermes. I have never been so moved, each entry instantly calms me sending me into a dreamlike state. Be warned, if you read this after/during a bath you will be hypnotised for a few hours.

After my Bourjois appreciation week, I had to include my base for the past month and a bit. Oh how my skin glows when using these products together. I always have confidence and most importantly a smile. The Happy Light Foundation is of course extraordinary, mentioned here, here and here. It's almost run out, but of course I will be repurchasing! As well as the Happy Light Concealer. Words cannot describe how much I love this. Full review here. The perfect combination!

Another favourite is a particular combination of nail polish. Pale pinks with silver glitters are really my thing right now! The Ciate formula isn't quite up to scratch as displayed here. But the colours are divine! So elegant, and classic. The SensatioNail combination is my go to so far, in terms of formula, but I am constantly on the lookout for further additions. If you know of any, please let me know! I hear that Models Own has a potential winner.

I have yet to review this beauty. The only palette in my life right now is the Nars Crime of Passion. Orgasm blush, Laguna bronzer, three eye shadows and the Orgasm lip gloss. A dream come true. This is horrible I know, but I'm going to leave it at that for now. I have something rather special coming soon.

What have your favourites been this month? Have you got any other beauty related books that I should add to my bedside table?
