The April Make Up Bag

April is already over, I can't believe we're a quarter of the way through 2015 already. With that in mind I've decided to start sharing the contents of my makeup bag with you. If you've been reading Slightgem for the past year, you'll know that I'm not the biggest fan of monthly favourites. Instead I share what I'm 'currently loving' and now at the end of each month I'll be sharing what my most worn makeup products have been. So let's dive in!

For the most of April I've been reaching for products that get the job done. The YSL Youth Liberator Foundation - £38.00 in B10 (full review here) has been one of my favourites for a while now. This has great coverage, blends well and sits nicely on the skin. I've been skipping on concealer as I found that with clearer skin, foundation covers enough.

The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder - £13.00 in 01 has been an absolute godsend. Being too scared of contouring this is subtle and easy enough to give my face some shape. And the New CID Cosmetics iGlow Compact Shimmer - £24.00 in Ice Pop has been my go to blush to add a pop of colour to an otherwise neutral look.

I've been keeping the eyes pretty simple, using the Beauty UK Posh Palette - £5.99 in No1 Eden to add subtle shimmer to the lids and definition in the crease. This palette contains both matte and shimmer formulas so It's been the only eyeshadow product I've used all month. For brows, I've used up my Maybelline Brow Drama - £4.99 in Medium Brown. It's been a fantastic way to keep my brows in place, but thanks to regular visits to Benefit's Brow Bar I'm ready to up my brow game.

And of course, no shocker here, the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - £19.50 (full review here) has been my go-to lash saviour. Along with the help of the Eyeko Lash Curlers - £12.00 my lashes have looked better than ever. Plenty of curl that lasts all day and night!

And finally for the lips I've been switching between the Burberry Kisses Lipstick - £25.00 in Creamy Beige 01 (full review here) and the New CID Cosmetics iGloss - £16.00 in Honey Pot. Both leave a subtle wash of colour, look great with a neutral eye and require next to no effort.

What has been in your makeup bag throughout April? Is there anything that you recommend for next month?
